With over 35 years of experience in the trade Paul was at Kempson & Mauger for 13 years, where in 1987 he started his 5 year apprenticeship in hand engraving becoming a member of Goldsmiths Hall and a Freeman of the City. With over 35 years of experience in the trade Paul was at Kempson & Mauger for 13 years, where in 1987 he started his 5 year apprenticeship in hand engraving becoming a member of Goldsmiths Hall and a Freeman of the City. Whilst there he continued his craft, along with learning to enamel, working on a wide variety of works, ranging from small pieces of antique jewellery to large objet d’art. In 2000 Paul set up business on his own and now works for some of the best known and most demanding designers in the country.
In 2018 Paul took on apprentice Erin Munn who graduated in 2023 with a host of awards and plaudits for her Masterpiece submission.

Paul’s vast knowledge and experience in the field has also lead to him being asked to judge in the enamel section of the Goldsmith’s annual competition.
